Couples therapy that takes the sex as seriously as the conflict. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and an AASECT-certified sex therapist, working online with couples across Florida. Desire that faded, the fight that keeps repeating, agreements about monogamy and openness, and repair after broken trust.
Florida is a state people move to on purpose. What almost nobody plans for is what a move does to a marriage. The friends who absorbed some of the pressure are a thousand miles away, the old routines are gone, and what’s left is the relationship itself, unbuffered, in a new house.
What I treat: low or mismatched desire, sex that has stopped altogether, erectile difficulties and performance anxiety, pain with sex, sex after a body changed through illness or menopause or medication, broken agreements, and the strain of retirement, remarriage, and blended families. I hold an MSW from Yeshiva University, an MA in Trauma and Crisis Studies from Tel Aviv University, and certification in sex therapy through AASECT and the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. I live in Brooklyn with my husband and our dog, Bernie.

How Couples Therapy Works
Does online couples therapy actually work?
Yes. It also means you skip a forty-minute drive in August, and if you’re in a part of the state where the nearest certified sex therapist is three hours away, geography stops deciding who you get.
How long does it take?
Most couples work weekly for four to eight months. I’m not interested in keeping you in therapy indefinitely — you build capacity you keep, then you stop needing me.
We spend part of the year up north. Does that work?
It does. I’m also licensed in New York, New Jersey, and New Hampshire, so a seasonal move doesn’t interrupt the work or make you start over with someone new.
Is This For Us?
My partner is skeptical about therapy.
Usually the one who was asked to come. I don’t do open-ended processing or communication worksheets. I’ll say what I notice and ask the question you’re both avoiding, and your partner will know quickly whether that’s worth their time.

What if our main issue is sexual?
Then you’re in the right place. Most couples therapists were never trained in sex and treat it as a symptom that clears once communication improves. It usually doesn’t. I do both in the same room.
