My Services
What We Work On:
Erectile Difficulties & Performance Anxiety
The most common reason men call me, and the most treatable. Performance problems almost always have a psychological engine, and that engine responds to treatment. Men who address it early save themselves years of avoidance and anxiety.
Ejaculation & Orgasm Concerns
Finishing faster than you want, not being able to finish, or orgasm that's become work instead of pleasure. These respond well to structured sex therapy, and far better than to the internet's advice.
Desire & Arousal
Desire that dropped off and never came back, desire that never matched your partner's, or arousal your body won't cooperate with. We figure out what's actually driving it, which is rarely what people assume, and build from there.
Sex Through Change
Sexuality that shifted after a diagnosis, a medication, a birth, a loss, or simply time. The medical system is good at telling you what happened to your body and bad at helping you build a satisfying sex life around it. That second part is this work.

AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist in NYC
Most of my sex therapy clients waited far longer than they needed to, usually because they assumed the problem was purely physical, purely shameful, or both. Here’s what decades of clinical research consistently show: these concerns are among the most common human experiences and the least discussed, and they’re treatable. You will not shock me, and you will not be judged. This is my entire job.
I’m an AASECT-certified sex therapist and licensed clinical social worker who specializes in the things people have the hardest time talking about: erectile dysfunction, low desire, performance anxiety, painful sex, infidelity, and the slow erosion of intimacy that happens over the course of a lifespan. More than half my practice is dedicated to helping couples and individuals work through exactly these kinds of concerns.
My approach is direct and evidence-based. I draw on emotionally focused therapy to help couples understand the attachment patterns driving their conflicts, psychodynamic work to uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface, and specialized sex therapy techniques grounded in decades of clinical research. My clinical insights have been featured in Men’s Health.
I hold an MA in Trauma and Crisis Studies from Tel Aviv University, an MSW from Yeshiva University, and earned certification in sex therapy through the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband and our dog, Bernie. When I’m not in session, I write and produce music.

Your Questions, Answered.
Everything you need to know about starting sex therapy with me.
How Sex Therapy Works
What are your fees, and do you accept insurance?
Individual Sessions: $200 for a 50-minute session
Couples Therapy: $250 for a 60-minute session
I am an out-of-network provider. I can provide you with a detailed superbill (receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients receive partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services, though coverage varies by plan.
I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about:
- Your out-of-network mental health benefits
- How much do they reimburse for CPT code 90834 (individual sessions) or 90847 (couples sessions)
- Your annual deductible and how much you’ve met
- Any requirements for pre-authorization
Payment is due at the time of service and is processed through a secure payment portal using a credit card.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session is about getting acquainted and understanding your concerns in a comfortable, no-pressure environment.
We’ll discuss why you’re seeking therapy, your goals, relevant history, and any questions you have about my approach. We won’t jump into highly intimate details right away. The focus is on building rapport and understanding your needs.
First sessions typically run up to 60 minutes to allow time for intake and questions.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 48 hours advance notice for cancellations. Late cancellations will be charged the full session fee, though I’ll always try to reschedule first when possible.
This policy allows me to offer your slot to other clients who need it and helps maintain a sustainable practice. I understand that true emergencies happen—please contact me as soon as possible to discuss extraordinary circumstances.
What actually happens in sex therapy?
Talk therapy, nothing else: no physical contact, no examination. We identify what’s driving the concern, unlearn the expectations keeping it going, practice concrete strategies between sessions, and, for couples, change the dynamic so sex stops being a performance review.
Do I need a medical workup first?
Sometimes it’s smart to rule out medical factors, especially if changes were sudden or happen in every context including alone. I’ll tell you honestly in our first conversation if a physician should be part of the picture. Therapy and medical treatment often work best together.
How long does it take?
Sex therapy tends to be more focused than open-ended talk therapy. Many clients notice meaningful movement within a few months. We set concrete goals early so progress is visible.
Is This For Me?
I've never been to therapy. Is this going to be weird?
No, and I hear this a lot, especially from men. Most of my male clients tell me they expected therapy to be a lot of vague questions about their childhood and long silences. That’s not how I work. Sessions with me are direct, structured, and focused on what’s actually going on in your life right now. We’ll identify what’s not working, figure out why, and build a concrete plan to change it.
Do you work with men on sexual health concerns?
Yes, this is one of the most common reasons men come to see me. Erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety, premature ejaculation, low desire, difficulty with orgasm – these are issues that affect a huge number of men and are almost never talked about honestly. A lot of guys assume it’s purely physical, but there’s almost always a psychological component, and that’s where therapy can make a real difference.
Do you mostly work with men?
Men are the majority of my sex therapy practice, and the direct, structured style I use was shaped by that work. But I see adults of all genders and orientations for the full range of sexual concerns.
Can I come without my partner?
Yes. Plenty of sex therapy is individual work, and it’s often the right starting point. When a relationship dynamic is part of the picture, we can bring a partner in later, or you can look at couples therapy from the start.
How is this different from what my regular therapist does?
Specialization. AASECT certification requires hundreds of hours of training in sexual function, desire, and arousal beyond licensure. Ask any therapist how much sexuality training they got in graduate school; the honest answer is usually one class, or none.
